Engaged warehouse being demolished days before wedding

Update: Babylonia Aivaz came to the warehouse shortly after being notified of the demolition, and changed into her wedding dress on the street. She was seen climbing on the equipment and trying to get in the way of the demolition. She then had to leave for work, according to KOMO freelance photographer Joshua Lewis. So far, the building's awning has been torn down.

Capitol Hill’s most talked about wedding this week may not be on as scheduled, as the building set to wed is currently being torn apart.

“There is a bulldozer at the building and a big hole,” confirms Thomas Wright, who works at nearby Bimbos.

It is unclear if Babylonia Aivaz knows that her love interest, a warehouse at 10th and Union, is being demolished before she had expected. She is planning on marrying the building during a ceremony Sunday.
