Eat, drink and donate

On December 9th, several restaurants and bars on Capitol Hill will donate a percentage of their sales to the family of officer Timothy Brenton, who was shot and killed in late October while sitting in his patrol car.

So far,11 venues have agreed to take part in the fundraiser: The Elite, Garage, Honeyhole Sandwiches, Julia's, Rosebud, Quinn's, The Cuff, Vermillion, Bill's Off Broadway, Century Ballroom and Bluebird Ice Cream and Tea.

Organizers hope to add more businesses to the list before next Wednesday's event.
