Captiol Hill's whimsy in full bloom | Arts & Culture

One of the best parts of living on Capitol Hill is the neighborhood's creativity that bubbles to the surface like oxygen. You literally never know what's around each corner. (Which has its drawbacks, of course, when it's a guy telling you about body parts you'd rather not think of, but anyway.)

Last night at 6:00 p.m. I was traipsing about when I turned on Bellevue Ave E and--voila!--a car painted in all manner of flowers and snails and flames greeted me. And while its easy identification would make for a less than ideal getaway car, its whimsy and singularity fit Capitol Hill just right.
