The Baguette Box: unique comfort food

Launched in 2007, the Baguette Box has quickly become a Capitol Hill favorite. And while the Le Panier baguettes that give the restaurant its name are delectably soft on the inside and crunchy on the out, it's the quality and array of fillings (roasted pork loin with apricot aioli, crispy organic tofu with avocado) that set the Baguette Box apart from standard lunchbox fare.

A customer favorite, the Drunken Chicken sandwich, has developed something of a cult following. Comprised of breaded chicken chunks in a sweet and spicy sauce, carmelized onions and sprigs of cilantro, the Drunken Chicken is essentially Chinese food on bread, an improbably delicious combination.
